It turns any lane into an electronic High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane for transit vehicles. All in one system, all for one investment. The Opticom system uses high energy infrared technology to grant authorized vehicles momentary right-of-way at signalized intersections. Its Series 500 multifunctional componentry provides more than a green light. It identifies every vehicle on the system. It records travel direction and establishes vehicle location. It logs time and date. It works automatically to give selected vehicles the advantage in traffic. Its reliability is proven in hundreds of communities across thousands of intersections.
